VoiceDo

VoiceDo Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 16, 2026

Your recordings, transcripts, and tasks are stored only on your device. VoiceDo has no accounts, no analytics, no ads, and no tracking. Audio and transcript text are sent to AI services only at the moment you record or re-process a memo — transcribed, analyzed, and then discarded; we run no servers that store your content. Subscriptions are processed by Apple, and we never see your payment details.

Data stored on your device

The app stores the following locally, in its private storage: audio recordings you make and their transcripts; action items (titles, owners, due dates, priorities) extracted from transcripts, including your edits; contacts you add inside the app (plain names you type in — the app does not read your phone's contact list); and settings such as your display name, reminder time, and preferences. This data never leaves your device except as described in the AI processing section below. Deleting a memo deletes its audio and tasks, and uninstalling the app deletes everything.

AI processing

VoiceDo sends data to AI services only at the moment you record or re-process a memo. Audio is sent over an encrypted connection, through our relay server, to a speech-to-text provider (OpenAI or AssemblyAI) to produce a transcript. Transcript text is then sent the same way to a language-model provider (OpenAI or Anthropic) to extract action items. Our relay server holds the data only for the duration of the request and does not store, log, or use your content for anything else. The providers process the data under their own privacy policies (anthropic.com/legal/privacy, openai.com/policies/privacy-policy, assemblyai.com/legal/privacy-policy). No account is attached to these requests; we do not link your content to your identity, and we never use it for advertising or tracking.

Data we do not collect

No account registration, email, or phone number. No analytics, crash reporting, or usage tracking. No advertising identifiers. No location data. No access to your phone's contacts, photos, or calendar.

Microphone

The app requests microphone access solely to record your voice memos, and records only while you press the record button. If you decline the permission, the app remains usable for viewing and managing existing tasks.

Notifications

Task reminders use local notifications scheduled on your device. No push-notification servers are involved.

Payments

Pro subscriptions are purchased through Apple's App Store, and payment processing is handled entirely by Apple — we never see your payment details. We receive only an anonymous entitlement status via RevenueCat, our subscription-management provider (revenuecat.com/privacy).

Children

VoiceDo is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your choices

Delete any memo — with its audio, transcript, and tasks — at any time in-app. Uninstall the app to remove all locally stored data. You can also decline the microphone permission and keep using the app to view and manage existing tasks.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the effective date above and, for material changes, note it in the app's update notes.
