Vessa privacy policy

The app stores the following locally, in its private storage: the model photos you take or pick of yourself; garment photos and any store links you save with them; generated try-on images, collections, and closet items; your style profile (undertone, body shape, color preferences); and settings. Deleting an item in-app removes it, Settings → Delete all my data removes everything, and uninstalling the app deletes all local data.

Vessa sends data to AI services only at the moment you generate a try-on or request stylist suggestions, and only after you have given permission: before your first try-on, the app shows a notice explaining exactly this and asks you to allow it. Nothing is sent if you decline. For a try-on, the model photos you selected and your garment photos are sent over an encrypted (TLS) connection, through our relay server, to our virtual try-on provider FASHN AI (fashn.ai) — or, for some features, to OpenAI (openai.com) — which processes them solely to render your try-on image. For stylist suggestions, text descriptions of your garments, closet, and style profile are sent the same way to OpenAI — never your photos. Our relay server holds the data only for the duration of the request and does not store, log, or use your content for anything else. Both providers process the data on our behalf under their own privacy policies (fashn.ai/privacy-policy, openai.com/policies/privacy-policy): FASHN states it does not use your images to train its models, and OpenAI's API terms exclude API data from model training by default. No account is attached to these requests; we do not link your content to your identity, and we never use it for advertising, tracking, or training.

No account registration, email, or phone number. No analytics, crash reporting, or usage tracking. No advertising identifiers. No location data. No body measurements beyond the style profile you choose to enter.

Camera access is used only when you capture a model photo or a garment. Photo library access is used only when you pick existing photos or export a finished look. Vessa never scans your library in the background.

Try-on completion alerts use local notifications scheduled on your device. No push-notification servers are involved.

Vessa+ subscriptions and credit packs are purchased through Apple's App Store, and payment processing is handled entirely by Apple — we never see your payment details. We receive only an anonymous entitlement status via RevenueCat, our subscription-management provider (revenuecat.com/privacy).

Vessa is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

AI processing is opt-in: the app asks for your permission before the first try-on, and if you decline, no photo or style data ever leaves your device. Delete any garment, look, or model photo at any time in-app. Settings → Delete all my data wipes everything. You can decline the camera or photo permissions and grant them later only when you need them.

If we change this policy we will update the effective date above and, for material changes, note it in the app's update notes.
